I wonder what kind of metal those piercings were made from… My tongue barbell never set off any TSA gates in the entire 4 years I had it, nor did my braces when I was a teenager.

Yes, we also thought it was funny, but felt bad for the lady involved. The TSA has come forward since this incident and said that they would change the methods used for searching someone with body jewelry on. Common sense could have helped the guards involved, if she can’t remove them without a pair of pliers, I think the passengers would be safe.

Hmph… very interesting. Thats funny but sad about the metal screening. Sometimes it does get a little ridiculous. While I do think that the security that guards against this is needed, it sometimes gets a bit outrageous and common sense should be applied.

I heard about this nipple ring story on Canada am and it’s pretty funny and not funny at the same time! I mean I feel sorry for her and I think it’s funny on the airports part! Seriously it’s one of those things where I just don’t know what to say lol
