Wow I have been gone for so long…..seems that way. Life is not any better around here. Yeah, gas prices let up, but groceries haven’t. The election is getting closer and I am surprised that the phone has not been ringing off the hook like in previous years. News is….the candidates have given up Michigan. I think we are a lost cause anyway…crime is terrible, no jobs, no money, and the cost of living will make you sick. Wish I was on a beach in Australia having a cold margarita with my hubby. We can dream can’t we?

The year has almost gone…Holidays are approaching fast and we won’t talk about that stress. Where did the time go, seems it was just spring a few months ago. Now, it’s plastic on the windows, weather stripping in the doors and pull out the heavy blankets. Word is our natural gas bill will rise about 20% this winter…sure we can afford that.

We found out that we are going to be grandparents, which should be good news since it is our first grandchild. Well, all I can say is I’m happy, but I wish the father was a responsible one. Our daughter is living at home with us and they have “broken” up and he is a piece of shit. As much as I was looking forward to having a life of my own, I now know we will be raising our grandbaby.

Things that are going on across our country, scare me. I read the news daily and it is all horrible…recession fears, killings and kidnappings.

My heart cries for the time when I was truly happy with life, with the world, just plain happy. It’s hard to put a smile on my face these days. I worry when my kids are two seconds late, I worry about the gas price because my husband commutes, I worry about going to the grocery store….It just keeps going.

I want my son back, I want my life back, I want…..

That beach in Australia …yeah the sunshine with no worries!

I ran across this article on CNN website and this is crazy. These kids were allegedly killed by their mother and have been dead so long that their bodies were decomposing. School officials didn’t notice that they weren’t at school? The mother states that they were dead before her power was cut off, which according to the article was back in Sept. There is a lot of questions here.

Representative Tim Ryan a Democrat from Ohio has a voice for the common American people. If only more of our elected officials would boil over and see the truth that is before our eyes our country might be a better place to live. Why should we stand aside and let our government blatantly lie to us. For example if it was a normal everyday citizen that lied to the government say on their tax forms that is grounds for jail time. So why can’t we recommend jail time when certain government officials are caught red handed in a lie. I would think that that would be more damaging for our county than a few hundred dollars on a tax form.

In an article from the Boston Globe Kathleen Wolf an Arlington nurse is proposing legislation will be debated at a State House hearing this morning that would put parents in jail for spanking their kids even in their own homes. According to the Boston Globe

“If signed into law, parents would be prohibited from forcefully laying a hand on any child under age 18 unless it was to wrest them from danger, lest they be charged with abuse or neglect.”

In a case in 2005, Charles Enloe, 45, of Plymouth, was infamously arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon for taking a belt to his then 12-year-old son during an argument over homework. The charges were later dropped and Enloe told the Herald yesterday the experience “didn’t change my views at all. I believe discipline starts at home. Are they going to start legislating that you can’t raise your voice to your kids? That you can’t tell them when to go to bed? We’ll be communists then.We absolutely agree with Mr. Enloe, this is going completely to far. The people of Massachusetts obviously agree according to a poll of 2,998 people 93% agree this should not be put into legislation. How far is the government going to try to infringe in our everyday lives. Not to mention the amount of money being wasted on a ridiculous bill. We all must remember that this is coming from a state that held the Salem Witch Trials of 1692. Maybe they are trying to make up for that.As a child we were spanked when we got into real trouble, that deterred us from getting into trouble again. We all managed just fine, and with the message this is sending to the youth we could be in big trouble. This country needs more discipline and maybe more people would walk the straight and narrow.

We all have had that day at the pump where you car is on low fuel and your holding out for a price drop. Then you’re hit with it first thing in the morning that HUGE 10 cents a gallon increase. For one, it is still the same gas that was in the HUGE barrels the day before and two Exxon made a 4 Billion dollar profit last quarter and last your PAYCHECK did not increase. Chad commutes at least 180 miles daily the cost of our monthly gas is as much as our house payment and his last raise was less than fifty cents an hour. How will everyone survive, beside the big business and lets not forget our wonderful president who owns a lot of stock in the oil companies.

Everyone is boiled over about his one, so lets here it!

So this really boils us over, now a Maryland School District can put parents in Jail for up to ten days for not getting their children immunizations. Now we believe this should be personal choice for one, but that is not the true issue. The true issue is the fact that the government and the school district can be allowed so much control over your life. They tell you what you should do with your children, how you should treat them, what you should teach them and so on. They do not even have the knowledge to teach our children well, yet they can put us in jail.
