Furious Friday Gas Tax, Life 4 Sale, Arrogant Driver
Fri, Mar 21, 2008Michigan Congressman Wants 50-Cent Tax Hike on Every Gallon of Gas
Michigan is in enough trouble at this current point in our economy and some boneheaded congressman thinks that putting a 50 cent tax increase on gas is going to help “save” the environment. Rep. John Dingell D-Mich thinks that putting this tax on gasoline will deter people from using so much, therefore reducing the dependence on import oil.
News for you Mr. Dingell, most of the residents of Michigan must commute many miles for their jobs. This would just put an even greater burden on those residents. Chad commutes on average of 100 miles one way for work five to six days a week. We are already having a very difficult time with the gas prices could you imagine another 50 cents a gallon and it being a tax! Just Plain Stupid!

The more we increase the price of gas the more attractive an alternative fuel source will be! In my honest opinion I say raise the gas through the roof were killing our planet! See right now alternative fuel sources don’t have high enough profits, (or at least not compared to Gasoline) and this is keeping us from changing what our cars run on!
Raise the prices to help develop a need for an alternative fuel solution!
Cheers,

Hi Blogengage thanks for stopping by,
We definitely need to find an alternative fuel source, but I don’t know if raising the price of gas is the answer. We would gladly buy a car that uses alternative fuel, but we could not afford that and we can’t afford higher gas prices. It would hurt the “little” people more than “Big Business”.

Damn, that lady is crazy in the video. I like her style, though. I heard they are raising the price of gas to four dollars and more when summer hits. Nobody will be able to afford to go to work to pay for the gas. The price of food will really go to the moon, too. Nobody will be alble to afford anything. What then? Get two jobs instead of the one that’s already sucking the life out of ya? Three, where you don’t sleep at all? That’s the governement for ya. Always showing that they care.
