Who Killed Frosty

snowmanI’ll tell you who, the drug dealers and the school district! A  rule passed by our school district last year bans any snowman being displayed. They state that “the snowman” represents cocaine because that is the slang that they dug dealers use. Now I understand that there are some inappropriate shirts with snowmen on them that use this suggestion. It is already part of the dress code that anything promoting drugs or alcohol is not permitted. Why take it to these lengths, teachers can not hang up snowmen on their door, nor wear them on their clothing. This is crazy, have you been to an elementary school lately, how many teachers had on seasonal clothing? I am sure a lot of them did. What a waste of time and resources. It is always a few bad students that ruin it for the rest of them. It is bad enough that displaying of Christmas Decorations had been banned years ago and now they have killed our jolly Frosty.

No Health Insurance Can Cause Your Death

It has been over five years now and this issue still makes me boil over on a daily basis. Health Care and Insurance is one of the biggest problems that face our country. A lot of the focus is on the children which is understandable, but it also affects millions of adults. The cost to just go to the hospital or emergency room is outrageous and could put someone in a very large debt if they do not have insurance.

My dad’s health was failing him at age 47 his heart was giving out. We have an awful history of heart disease in my family. Of my dad’s four siblings only two are surviving and both my grandparents past away due to heart related problems. Dad had his first heart related health issues in his early twenties so we always knew he wasn’t doing well. At the time of his death he had been working as a subcontractor, therefore in order to have health insurance he had to purchase it on his own. He could not afford to do that, so he avoided going to the doctors due to the bills he would incur. The last two weeks of his life he knew something was seriously wrong, he was drinking Mylanta by the gallon thinking he had heartburn. Two days before his death, my dad entered the emergency room because his arm went numb and he was having difficulty breathing. The hospital did some routine tests, but when my dad said that he could not afford the more expensive procedures the doctors released him. Knowing his health history and all the signs of a massive heart attack the doctor should have tried harder to do the tests or kept him there for observation. When you enter hospital you expect nothing but the best care possible, they are suppose there to help you. Needless to say at 5 am two days later my dad past way in the parking lot of a pharmacy where he went to buy Mylanta, thinking he had heartburn again, he had a massive heart attack.

Just because you do not have health insurance that should not affect the doctor or hospitals decision on treatment. Everyone should receive the same tests based on their symptoms not their ability to pay. Those of us who do have health insurance pay enough to cover those bills, hospitals always make a profit and have you ever seen a poor doctor?

We wanted to sue the hospital in hopes that they would think twice next time they encountered a patient without health insurance. The lawyers told us that since we did not rely on my dad to support us we could not do that. We just wanted to try and make a change, because I know right now there are other people in our country that face the same issues as this. They have either lost a loved one or are in failing health and scared of the bills.

My advice to you is demand the same care regardless of your financial situation for the sake of your family, your friends and your life.

Here is a perfect example of how people Boil Over everyday. This wife has been cheated on and feels she needs to let her husband know how she feels. She embarrasses the man on the street by throwing his things to the sidewalk. No harm was done except maybe to his ego, which in my opinion he deserved.

Watch the great revenge take place.

I think she has reached her boiling point!

Tim Ryan Says It All

Representative Tim Ryan a Democrat from Ohio has a voice for the common American people. If only more of our elected officials would boil over and see the truth that is before our eyes our country might be a better place to live. Why should we stand aside and let our government blatantly lie to us. For example if it was a normal everyday citizen that lied to the government say on their tax forms that is grounds for jail time. So why can’t we recommend jail time when certain government officials are caught red handed in a lie. I would think that that would be more damaging for our county than a few hundred dollars on a tax form.

Massachusetts Is Going To Far

In an article from the Boston Globe Kathleen Wolf an Arlington nurse is proposing legislation will be debated at a State House hearing this morning that would put parents in jail for spanking their kids even in their own homes. According to the Boston Globe

“If signed into law, parents would be prohibited from forcefully laying a hand on any child under age 18 unless it was to wrest them from danger, lest they be charged with abuse or neglect.”

Boston Globe

In a case in 2005, Charles Enloe, 45, of Plymouth, was infamously arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon for taking a belt to his then 12-year-old son during an argument over homework. The charges were later dropped and Enloe told the Herald yesterday the experience “didn’t change my views at all. I believe discipline starts at home. Are they going to start legislating that you can’t raise your voice to your kids? That you can’t tell them when to go to bed? We’ll be communists then.We absolutely agree with Mr. Enloe, this is going completely to far. The people of Massachusetts obviously agree according to a poll of 2,998 people 93% agree this should not be put into legislation. How far is the government going to try to infringe in our everyday lives. Not to mention the amount of money being wasted on a ridiculous bill. We all must remember that this is coming from a state that held the Salem Witch Trials of 1692. Maybe they are trying to make up for that.As a child we were spanked when we got into real trouble, that deterred us from getting into trouble again. We all managed just fine, and with the message this is sending to the youth we could be in big trouble. This country needs more discipline and maybe more people would walk the straight and narrow.
